ISO 24712 8601 Information Technology Interchange

The International Standard provides a set of test pages that are in a common file format that are used in the testing of cartridge yields for color toner and colour ink. The test suite isn't designed to print photos, but instead shows typical pages used by consumers. The pages are described in ISO/IEC 1998 as well as ISO/IEC 24711.
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) and IEC (the International Electrotechnical Commission) make up the special system to standardize the world. National bodies that are members of ISO or IEC contribute to the development of International Standards through technical committees established by the respective organization to focus on specific areas of technical activities. ISO and IEC technical committees work together in areas of mutual concern. They also participate by international non-governmental organizations, as well as organizations of the government, who work with ISO and IEC. ISO/IEC JTC 1 is an international technical committee which was created by IEC and ISO in the area of information technology. International Standards are created following the guidelines of ISO/IEC Directives.
Part 2. Part 2.

The joint technical committee approves draft International Standards which are then circulated to the national bodies. Publication as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of the national body casting the vote. It is possible that specific parts of this document may be subject to patent rights. See iso 24712 for more info.

IEC and ISO are not responsible for the identification of any or all patent rights. Joint Technical Committee ISO/IEC JTC 1 Information technology, Subcommittee SC 28 Office equipment developed ISO/IEC 24712. This new edition cancels and replaces the ISO/IEC 24712:2006 edition.

Color test pages for determining the loss of consumables from office equipment 1 Scope. The International Standard's purpose is to create colour test sheets for measuring the loss that can be attributed to consumables. The test page set includes four "customer" kinds of documents, as well as one "diagnostic", which are used to determine the consumable limits of ink and toner. These pages can be used for electro-photographic, inkjet printers and multi-function devices that have a digital printing path, i.e. an all-in-one electro-photographic device equipped with digital printing.

The International Standard provides a set of test pages in a common format for files that can be used to test the quality of yields that are consumable. The method to use these pages is detailed in ISO/IEC 19798 as well as ISO/IEC 24711. These pages are intended to illustrate a selection of types of documents that are utilized in offices as well as at home. These pages are not intended to be utilized for photo printing or other special applications. 2 Normative references These documents are necessary for the proper use of this document.
